- The "Syllabus" link has the pdf syllabus, pdf class calendar, pdf instructor's schedule, and other resources that can be useful all semester long.
- The "Lab Book Module" will duplicate some of what is in the weekly folders, with the goal of making it easier to find a lab-related document when you may not remember which week.
- The "Writing Assignment Module" duplicates some of what is in the weekly folders, with the goal of making it easier to find a writing assignment when you may not remember which week.
- Weekly modules organize class material specific to each week. This includes quizzes, labs, discussions, and helpful resources.
Follow your progress in Grades.
- Check for missing assignments and ask about make up options.
- Ask questions about anything you do not understand about your scores.
- If your scores are not as high as you would like, set up a time to meet with me (your instructor) to discuss improved strategies for success. I want to hear your ideas of how I might better help you. And together we usually can brainstorm ideas that will help you better help yourself. This can be a one-time thing, or weekly sessions.

SBVC Tutoring information Spring 2025- Schedule By Subject
- The ConexEd link takes you to Student Services. Click the Student Support Directory and scroll way down and you'll find the SBVC tutors. We have those offering biology help. You can click on their block's to schedule a meeting or send them a message when they are offline. If they are online and available, you can "knock to enter" for an unscheduled drop-in visit. All the SBVC tutors are SBVC students. Be sure to let them know you are in BIOL100.
- NetTutor is a 24/7 service provided by Canvas. These tutors do not know anything about SBVC and its specific classes but should be qualified in their tutoring specialty.
