Course Description
This course examines the scientific concepts of nutrition relating to the functioning of nutrients in the basic life processes. Emphasis is on individual needs, food sources of nutrients, current nutritional issues and diet analysis.
Additional Course Information:
- Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
- Transferability: Course credit transfers to both CSU and UC (California systems).

Cheating constitutes academic dishonesty and, in general will be handled as part of the course grading process. Penalties may range from no credit for the assignment up to and including exclusion and/or and “F” grade for the course. As a general rule, I handle this on a case by case basis.
