• Know the basic parts of a microscope: Stage, base, arm, diaphragm, scanning lens, stage clips, eyepiece, course focus, fine adjustment focus, etc.
• Know the power of each lens, scanning, low, and high power.
• Know how to clean a lens
• Know when to use coarse adjustment and when to use fine adjustment knobs
• Know how to put the microscope away
